JALALABAD (Pajhwok): A suicide bomber who wanted to attack a mosque in eastern Nangarhar has been captured by National Directorate of Security (NDS) forces, a statement said on Wednesday.
The Nangarhar provincial media office in a statement said Ahmad, a resident of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, intended to carry out a suicide attack.
The alleged bomber had received training in Lawarkai Madrasa and planned to conduct a suicide attack in a mosque in Shinwari district.
But he was captured in limits of seventh Jalalabad police district before reaching his target, the statement said.
The statement also said NDS personnel arrested a fraudster named IjazulHaq who had taken 22,000 afs from an entity using fake identity.

KABUL, April 21 (Xinhua) A powerful explosion shook Kabul, capital of Afghanistan on Tuesday night, an Afghan security official confirmed, without providing information on casualties.
At around 9:50 p.m. on Tuesday, an explosion rocked Police District 15 of Kabul, said Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman Tariq Arian. But he gave no further details.
A security source told local media TOLOnews that the blast occurred as a result of a suicide bombing that targeted a convoy of the National Directorate of Security (NDS), the Afghan intelligence agency.
No organization has so far claimed responsibility for the incident. Enditem
