URL copied Photo for representation only.  Over three years after Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of India s first 508-km Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail corridor, the work on the second such rail corridor in the country on the Delhi-Varanasi route has gained momentum. An aerial LiDAR survey of the 800-km Delhi-Varanasi High-Speed Rail (DVHSR) corridor has now been undertaken by the Railways as part of the project to connect Modi s parliamentary constituency with the national capital through the bullet train. On Sunday, the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) launched the LiDAR survey for the Delhi-Varanasi route from Uttar Pradesh s Greater Noida, wherein a helicopter fitted with state-of-the-art aerial LiDAR and imagery sensors will capture data related to the ground survey along the proposed route.

Bullet train to connect Hyderabad with other cities: Rail plan By News Desk|   Published: 30th December 2020 2:15 pm IST Representational Photo By Mohammed Husain Ahmed Hyderabad: Indian Railways in its new draft of National Rail Plan (NRP) said Hyderabad would be connected with different cities through bullet train.  A press release was issued after National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) put out tenders for a detail project report to develop Mumbai – Pune – Hyderabad bullet train corridor.  The objective of this draft is to expand the already planned Mumbai- Hyderabad Bullet train till Bangalore.   Such a corridor would connect northern cities like Jammu, Amritsar, Delhi and Jaipur to Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Mumbai.

Recently, Vinod Kumar Yadav, Chairman of Railway Board, while addressing media via video-conferencing said that Indian Railways is making efforts that the entire bullet train project is commissioned end-to-end, at once. He added that railway authorities want to commission the bullet train project together in both Gujarat and Maharashtra and have planned accordingly. Additionally, the Maharashtra government has assured to make more than 80 per cent of land available for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project in the next four months.
