CM Mahmood Khan announces Rs220m for upgrading Swabi hospital

SWABI: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Wednesday announced Rs220 million for upgrading the Bacha Khan Medical Complex Shahmansoor.
The chief minister visited Swabi along with National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, provincial Finance Minister Taimur Jhagra, Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education Shahram Tarakai and others.
Mahmood Khan inaugurated 160-bed ward at the Bacha Khan Medical Complex Shahmansoor, which is now a teaching hospital of Gajju Khan Medical College Swabi.
The chief minister said the government was committed to providing health facilities to the people. He said that no effort would be spared to mitigate the sufferings of the poor.
SWABI: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan announced Rs220 million for further upgradation of Bacha Khan Medical Complex Shahmansoor here on Wednesday.
He made the announcement at the inauguration ceremony of the newly established wards in Bacha Khan Medical Complex Shahmansoor. He was accompanied by National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, provincial ministers Taimur Saleem Jhagra and Shahram Khan Tarakai, and other parliamentarians.
The chief minister inaugurated the newly completed building in Bacha Khan Medical Complex Shahmansoor, the teaching hospital of Gajju Khan Medical College Swabi.
He said that the ruling party initiated and completed several projects in the district and many more were on the cards because he considered Swabi his second home after his home district Swat.

During separate meetings with Hizb-e-Wahadat Islami Afghanistan Chairman Mohammad Karim Khaili, both men discussed matters of mutual interest, regional peace and stability, and current developments in the Afghan peace process. According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army chief said a “stable and prosperous Afghanistan at peace with itself and its neighbors is in Pakistan’s national interest.”

ISLAMABAD: A delegation of Afghanistan s Hizb-e-Wahdat-e Islami called on Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday to discuss matters of mutual interest including the Afghan peace process.
The delegation, led by Muhammad Karim Khalili, arrived in the country on Monday for a two-day visit during which it is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Imran Khan and National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser.
