New Delhi [India], May 20 (ANI): Indian shooting coach Monali Gorhe passed away due to black fungus on Thursday.
Her father also died on Thursday. The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) mourned the death of the daughter and father. With great sorrow we inform that Ms Monali Gorhe, Pistol Coach of Core Group and an efficient technical official passed away today due to black fungus. Its a tragedy that her father also died today. The Shooting fraternity mourns the sad demise of a hard working human being, NRAI said in an official statement.

New Delhi, May 19 : Olympic-bound Indian shooting squad based in Zagreb went through four hours of training routine on Wednesday morning after completing their week-long quarantine. We arrived in Croatia last week but had to stay indoors for a week as per Covid-19 protocols. But on Wednesday, all the shooters went out to local ranges for practice in the morning session, a coach of the national team told IANS from Zagreb.
All the shooters and members of the coaching staff were tested for Covid-19 on Tuesday.

New Delhi, May 13 : Pistol shooter Chinki Yadav had to endure mental agony after she was excluded from the Tokyo Olympic Games squad despite winning a quota place in 2019. It is difficult to explain the mental suffering I went through on being dropped from the squad for the Olympics. My gold medal winning performance in the New Delhi World Cup in March [2021] was overlooked. But support from parents has helped me come out of depression, Chinki told IANS from Bhopal.

The Olympic-bound Indian shooting team on Tuesday left for Croatia for a two and a half months training-cum-competition tour, its final tune-up to the upcoming Tokyo Games.
Along with their coaches and support staff, a 13-member Indian shooting team took off for Croatian capital Zagreb, where it will undergo a training camp before leaving for Osijek to take part in the European Championships (May 20 to June 6) followed by the combined ISSF World Cup (June 22 to July 3).
