KUALA LUMPUR (March 15): The National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) will implement the Malaysian Creative Capacity Enhancement Programme (MyCAP) that seeks to coordinate human capital capacity development for the creative industry, among others.
FINAS in a statement said the decision was made in a meeting chaired by FINAS chairman Zakaria Abdul Hamid, adding that the initiative would provide comprehensive data related to the creative industry through a specialised platform.
It said the platform involved the evaluation, recognition and dissemination of data related to industry players, associations and companies. The implementation of MyCAP is also to enhance professionalism among creative industry players to realise its OSCARS aspiration, it said, adding that an engagement session involving FINAS chairman and the chief executive officer would be held soon with the creative industry players.
