Hong Kong s police chief said on Tuesday that safeguarding national security in the special administrative region will top the work agenda of the SAR s police in 2021.
At a news conference reviewing the city s crime situation in 2020, Commissioner of Police Tang Ping-keung said that to fulfill its mission, the force will intensify its work on collecting intelligence and information concerning national security.
Tang revealed that over 40,000 messages had been received through the national security hotline set up on Nov 5, and useful information was gained for further operations.
