A new shipment of the AstraZeneca vaccine arrived in Slovenia on Thursday, containing 14,400 shots, the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ) told Slovenian Press Agency STA. However, a delivery planned in the next couple of weeks will leave Slovenia 100,000 doses short of the initially planned supply, the NIJZ added.
The government-endorsed changes to the Communicable Diseases Act, reintroducing oversight over quarantine at home, health ministry official Vesna Kerstin Petrič said on Thursday.
Data released by the country’s major laboratories show that new, highly-virulent coronavirus variants are spreading fast in Slovenia after all three major mutations were confirmed in the country, meaning that restrictions will not be eased on 18 March as planned but will be extended for another month.

Evaluating the decisions recommended by the Communicable Diseases Supreme Committee under the Communicable Diseases Act 45/2018 the
COUNCIL OF MINISTERS
within the framework of the decision taken under the authority given by the Curfew Law has decided that
between the dates of 8 March 2021-15 March 2021,
the curfew, which will start at 21:00 on weekdays, Monday to Friday, will continue until 05:00 in the morning. A curfew will be imposed between 21:00 on Friday and 05:00 on Monday except for meeting basic needs.
According to this, a curfew will be imposed after 21:00 in the evening on weekdays. Again, as was the case previously, it has been decided that businesses other than those that are considered essential services will be closed from 21:00 on Friday to 05:00 on Monday morning, and that only pharmacies, bakeries and agriculture and livest
