Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], May 7 (ANI): Soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren about the COVID-19 situation in the state on Thursday night, the Chief Minister tweeted and claimed that the Prime Minister only did his Mann ki Baat during the conversation. The Prime Minister called today. He only delivered his Mann ki Baat during the conversation. It would have been better if he had listened to and spoken on important matters, Soren tweeted in Hindi.
PM Modi on Thursday also spoke to Chief Ministers of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Lieutenant Governors of Puducherry and Jammu and Kashmir about the COVID-19 situation in their respective states and Union Territories.

Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga on Friday thanked Taiwan and Ireland for providing aid to mitigate possible oxygen crisis as the COVID-19 scenario deteriorates in the state.
The hill state received consignments of oxygen concentrators and cylinders from Taiwan and 60 oxygen concentrators produced by the premium American company, Invacare, from Ireland.
Without mentioning the total number of consignments Mizoram has received, Mr Zoramthanga said, #ThankYouTaiwan for your continued generosity providing us much needed Oxygen Concentrators & Cylinders.

Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat showing early signs of plateauing, decrease in daily COVID-19 cases: Union Health Ministry

The Union Health Ministry on Friday said Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, and Jharkhand are showing early signs of plateauing and a decrease in its daily COVID-19 cases.
Meanwhile, COVID-19 cases are increasing in Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Haryana, Odisha, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Puducherry, Meghalaya, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, and Nagaland, said Arti Ahuja, Additional Secretary (Health).
Ahuja added that there is a high caseload in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Haryana and Bihar.

The Railways administration has launched elaborate measures to check the spread of COVID-19 infections by enforcing appropriate restrictions at stations, ticket counters and on trains to enforce the guidelines and preventing overcrowding of passengers, including fines for not wearing masks.
All the passengers are undewrgoing thermal scanning at the railway stations under Waltair Division. As different State governments are issuing health advisories and adopting various measures to combat the pandemic, passengers should invariably follow the protocols at originating and destination stations.
