India is the Second-Fastest to reach 1 crore Vaccinations:- India is the largest producer of vaccinations and the infrastructure is huge that they can provide vaccines to several countries of the globe. A total number of 12,643 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the country in the last 24 hours and the total number of active cases in India are at 1,37,866. The total reported cases of coronavirus in the country are said to be 1,09,62,189. India continues to be the second most impacted country due to coronavirus after the USA though the wave of cases came down from the past two months.
Currently, India has vaccinated over 94 lakh healthcare and frontline workers against coronavirus and coveted the third spot after the US and the UK. By February 20, the government has promised to give at least a single dose of vaccine to healthcare workers.

Polio vaccine for 64-lakh kids in Karnataka on Sunday

Bengaluru, Jan 29 : Amid the Covid pandemic, Karnataka would give polio vaccine to over 64 lakh children across the state on Sunday, said Health Minister K. Sudhakar on Friday. In the polio vaccination drive on Sunday, 64,07,930 children in the 0-5 age group will be given the medicine through oral drops. All parents should immunize their children, said Sudhakar in a statement here.
As the nationwide anti-Covid vaccination drive was launched on January 16, polio vaccination programme was postponed to January 31 from January 17 even in the southern state.
