The United Nations has warned that Israel and Palestine are approaching a âfull-scaleâ war as the conflict in the Gaza Strip continues.
Violence in the region has escalated in recent weeks, stemming from efforts to evict six Arab families from a contested neighbourhood in favour of Jewish settlers. This has led to violent protests and clashes and, in response, some of the most intense rocket attacks in seven years have hit Gaza.

35 Palestinians have been killed, including 12 children, since this escalation began. As a result, there are global concerns about the situation, which has seen Palestinians face displacement while refugee camps and residential areas are bombed.
Israel Kills Hamas Intelligence Chief: Looks Like Our Intel Was Better

Israel has killed a military intelligence chief from Hamas in a targeted strike and later said looks like our intel was better on Twitter.
The Israel Defense Force (IDF) announced that senior Hamas intelligence figures Hassan Koagi, and his deputy Wali Issa, had been killed in a strike.
Taking to Twitter, the IDF said: Our fighter jets, with the ISA, neutralized key figures of Hamas intelligence: Hassan Koagi, head of the Hamas military intelligence security department, and his deputy Wali Issa, head of the military counterespionage department.

Greece’s Foreign Affairs Ministry expressed its deep concern over the rising violence in Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, and called for “the immediate end.”
For more than a week, Palestinians have protested throughout Jerusalem over attempts to evict Palestinian families from their homes.
Violent clashes escalated dramatically on Monday with Gaza health officials saying at least 20 people, including nine children, were killed by Israeli air strikes launched after Palestinian militant groups fired rockets close to Jerusalem.
“At the same time, recognising Israel’s right to self-defence, we reiterate the need for all parties to take action that will lead to immediate de-escalation. Steps must also be taken to avoid further casualties among the civilian population,” said the ministry.

Israeli security forces have used repeated, unwarranted and excessive force against Palestinian protesters in occupied East Jerusalem following four days of violence in which 840 Palestinians were injured, Amnesty International said today. At least 21 Israeli police officers and seven Israeli civilians were also injured, according to Israeli police.
The organization calls on Israeli authorities to immediately halt forced evictions in the neighbourhood of Sheikh Jarrah and end the ongoing forced displacement of Palestinians from East Jerusalem.
In the latest escalation, Palestinian armed groups have fired rockets and missiles into Israel injuring at least one Israeli and there have been reports of several people killed in Gaza from retaliatory attacks by Israel. Amnesty International calls on all parties to respect international humanitarian law and take all feasible
