BUFFALO, N.Y. Initial doses of the Pfizer COVID vaccine are in the process of being sent to hospitals across New York state.
Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz says there was a distribution issue with doses slated for Erie County Medical Center.
This is the second time in two days we re hearing of doses being delivered to other health care systems, rather than the ones they re supposed to go.

A Niagara Falls man, who was injured in a stabbing attack on Tuesday, December 15, 2020, has died. According to WKBW, the 49-year-old man, Thomas James Anderson, was attacked around 6 pm. The incident happened near his home, which is located on 20th Street near Walnut Avenue. According to WGRZ, Anderson was conscious and able to communicate with investigators at the scene of the altercation.
Stabbing Death of Niagara Falls Man Investigated as Homicide
Anderson was transported to Erie County Medical Center initially. Then he was moved to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. He died yesterday, Thursday, December 17. His death has been ruled a homicide after an autopsy was conducted. Police are continuing to investigate the stabbing incident.
