Norwich A Norwich man was arrested on manslaughter and other charges stemming from a fatal crash that killed two occupants of another vehicle on April 24, 2020, on West Main Street.
Cameron A. Barnhill, 25, of 59 School St., basement apartment, was charged on a warrant at 10 a.m. Tuesday with second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle under the influence, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving with a suspended license or registration and failure to drive in the proper lane. He was held on a $200,000 bond and is scheduled to appear June 17 in Norwich Superior Court.

A 19-year-old Pennsylvania man wanted in connection with a December gunpoint robbery in Taftville has been extradited back to Norwich, police said today.
Kareem Swinton, of Allentown, Pa., is charged with first-degree robbery, criminal possession of a firearm, fifth-degree larceny and weapons in a vehicle related a Dec. 27 robbery in which the victim’s cell phone and other items were stolen, Norwich police said.
Swinton was being held by Pennsylvania authorities on probation charges prior to his extradition. He being held on a $150,000 bond and is scheduled to be presented in Norwich Superior Court on Monday.
A 19-year-old Norwich man, Osman Surur, of 22 Terrance Ave., was charged in February as a co-conspirator and driver in the robbery.
