A report issued by the Department of Public Health Mid-West told how every staff member in the kitchen was infected due to the use of the fan. 2 2 Employees were distanced but were not wearing masks in the poorly ventilated space. The combination of the poor ventilation and the pedestal fan resulted in a Covid-19 workplace outbreak in which all kitchen staff were infected. The report said: A large number of outbreaks and situations in workplaces have been connected to contact in break rooms and canteens, many of which are poorly ventilated.
