LSU announced the blockbuster hire on Sunday.
Mulkey, who grew up in Tickfaw, Louisiana, will be introduced in a news conference on Monday. After three national championships as a head coach, Kim Mulkey is returning home.
Mulkey, a native of Tickfaw, Louisiana was announced on Sunday as the new head coach for the LSU Tigers. She returns to Louisiana as a six-time national champion and nine-time Hall of Famer who is set for induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in May.
