In an annoucement posted on his Twitter account Oregon guard Chris Duarte declared for the NBA draft. Duarte was the first Pac-12 player to earn the Jerry West shooting guard of the year award from the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.  Duarte was also a third team All-American and AP Pac-12 Player of the Year averaging 17.1 points per game.  I want to thank the entire University of Oregon family for the last two seasons, Duarte said in his announcement. I transferred to Oregon not knowing what to expect and I can say with confidence that over the last two years, because of the amazing people here. I am leaving a better man and a much-improved player.
