Four soldiers were martyred in an attack on a Pakistan Army check post in South Waziristan Thursday night, the ISPR said. In response, the army officers shot dead four alleged terrorists. The martyred soldiers have been identified as Lance Naik Imran Ali, Sepoy Atif Jehangir, Sepoy Aneesur Rehman, and Sepoy Aziz. The check post is located near the Afghan border. A search operation has been launched in the area. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has condemned the attack and offered condolences to the families of the martyrs.
Safari Bus Service to be launched in Khyber

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has approved to launch a Safari Bus Service in Khyber district.
While chairing a meeting of the newly merged district’s task force on Thursday, the provincial chief executive directed the tourism department to take necessary steps to start the aforementioned bus service in the short run and take up the case with Pakistan Railways to initiate the launch of a Safari Train Service in the long run.
Matters pertaining to progress made so far on the ongoing developmental schemes, law & order situation, issues related to merger and administrative affairs of tribal districts were also discussed.
K-P to hold local body elections on Sept 15
Cabinet also approves Probation and Parole Act

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has announced local bodies elections in the province on September 15.
The decision was made at the cabinet meeting held Wednesday and presided over by the CM.
The meeting was attended by provincial ministers, advisors, special assistants, chief secretary and administrative secretaries.
The CM directed increase of stipend of chief
khateeb and
moavin qazis of the province.
The cabinet formally approved the Probation and Parole Act-2020 to ease the conditional release of people imprisoned on misdemeanours and after release on parole. The cabinet agreed to the establishment of the Water Commission and Water Regulatory Authority for efficient water resource management in the province.
K-P CM constitutes committee for reconstruction of temple
The committee will submit its report to the K-P chief secretary
PESHAWAR:
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan constituted a committee for the reconstruction of the Terri Hindu temple in the Karak district on Saturday.
The committee is comprised Auqaf and Religious Affairs secretary, Archeology director and Karak deputy commissioner while Communication and Works Department secretary will be the chairman of the committee. A formal notification has been issued in this regard.
The committee has been assigned the task to do an assessment of the damage to the temple and adjacent Samadhi and table its plan for reconstruction of the historic temple within ten days. The committee will submit its report to the K-P chief secretary.
