LAHORE: On directions from Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department released the status of facilities for Covid-19 patients here on Wednesday.
As per the latest statistics released by Secretary Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department, Barrister Nabeel Awan, 128,254 patients have recovered and returned homes in the pandemic so far in the province. Out of 7,270 reserved beds for Covid-19 patients, 6,389 are available. In Lahore’s public sector hospitals, 1,886 beds are available out of 2176 reserved. In Isolation Wards of Punjab’s hospitals, 4,191 are available out of 4,536 reserved for Corona Pandemic. In Isolation Wards of Lahore Hospitals, 1,360 beds are available out of 1,443 reserved.

LAHORE:Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid reviewed arrangements of cleanliness, medicine availability, doctors’ attendance and other administrative issues of Govt Teaching Hospital Shahdara at Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Department meeting here on Wednesday.
Special Secretary Silwat Saeed and Additional Secretary Development Dr Asif Tufail apprised the minister of the situation at Govt Teaching Hospital Shahdara. LAHORE:Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has said the Punjab government shall introduce vaccine after successful trials.
“The trials are being conducted as per international protocols. Only after successful trials, the true assessment can be made about the efficacy of the vaccine. The side-effects of the Corona vaccine are being reviewed,” she said while addressing a press conference at the Chief Minister Secretariat here on Monday.
The health minister said that all vaccine manufacturers were in contact with the federal government. However, an apex Vaccine Management Committee, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, has been constituted whose members include Chief Secretary Punjab, IG Punjab, representative of Punjab Healthcare Commission and the Health Minister herself. Committees have been constituted at district level, she said.
