Passports are a tangible way of showing where one has traveled, as the stamps provide a chronological order that traces an individual s journey across international borders. When an object s origins are not readily apparent, a variety of sources can be relied upon to learn more, which might include labels, sales receipts, foreign translations, oral histories, GPS coordinates and itemized personal possessions. That documentation is an example of provenance, or the origins of an object and where it has traveled throughout history. Sarah Buchanan, an assistant professor in the University of Missouri s College of Education, is an archivist, a professional who assesses, collects and preserves various artifacts and archives them to better understand their origin and cultural heritage.

Stefani The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is in the market for a new chief operating officer. The Cleveland Fed on Thursday, May 20, announced that Gregory L. Stefani, its first vice president and COO, will retire from the bank on Jan. 31, 2022. Dwight Smith, chair of the Cleveland Fed s board of directors, will lead a committee of eligible directors to search for Stefani s successor, the bank said in a news release. Stefani, 60, who was appointed to his current position in 2011, is the second-ranking official of the Cleveland Fed. Lincoln Zonta Club names scholarship awardees

Staff report The Zonta Club of Lincoln awarded three Women’s Career Scholarships this month. Carmalita (Carly) Martin of Lincoln attending Bowling Green State University to seek an Accounting degree,  Jaycie Doerr graduating from Mount Pulaski High School will attend Western Illinois University majoring in Journalism and Emma Buenrostro, also graduating from Mount Pulaski High School, who will attend Illinois State University with teaching as her major.  The Women’s Career Scholarships were possible as a result of Logan County residents contributions to the Zonta Club of Lincoln’s Virtual Turkey Dinner held this Fall. The 56th Annual Sit Down Dinner was cancelled due to Covid-19 attendance limits of 50 people when typically 1,000 to 1,200 attendees are served.
