Updated: 7:02 PM CDT Jun 14, 2021 WVTM 13 Digital A homicide investigation is underway in west Birmingham after a man was found shot to death in his truck Monday afternoon.Sgt. Rodarius Mauldin says West Precinct officers responded to a call of a person down in the 1500 block of 29th Street Ensley around 2 p.m. Monday. At the scene, officers found 43-year-old Anthony Jackson, Jr., of Birmingham, unresponsive inside of a pickup truck with multiple gunshot wounds.Birmingham Fire and Rescue pronounced Jackson dead at the scene.Mauldin says the preliminary investigation suggests Jackson was inside of his truck when the driver of a silver SUV fired at him several times.
