As the summer approaches and many schools plan a traditional eight-week break, many school officials encourage parents to enroll children in structured summer learning programs, which pair academic enrichment with fun activities.
Of course, many parents want children to enjoy camps, time with grandparents, sports or travel. But experts say even a little bit of structured learning during academic breaks can make a big difference; most children who don’t engage in educational activities over the summer lose about two months of math skills.

About 5 million Americans missed receiving their second dose of Pfizer or Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data released on Sunday.
But with some upcoming activities traveling and returning to school among them possibly requiring proof of a full vaccination two doses of Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or a single dose of Johnson & Johnson experts told ABC News it s still not too late for those who still need a second shot.

NEW YORK: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention eased its guidelines Tuesday on the wearing of masks outdoors, saying fully vaccinated Americans don t need to cover their faces anymore unless they are in a big crowd of strangers.
And those who are unvaccinated can go outside without masks in some situations, too.
