LAFAYETTE, Ind. Three women from the Lafayette area were among 30 young professionals named to the inaugural Rising 30 cohort, a list of Indiana s top talent under the age of 30 deemed destined to drive the state s manufacturing and logistics industries into the future.
Conexus Indiana, one of the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership nonprofit initiatives, announced the 30 young professionals during a virtual event last week. The list of honorees includes CEOs, engineers, educators and innovators.
Rising 30, according to a release, is part of Conexus Indiana’s mission to strengthen Indiana’s advanced manufacturing and logistics industry and create pathways for Hoosiers to succeed in Indiana’s largest industry sector.

Barbara J. Wilson, a longtime University of Illinois faculty member and administrator who has served as second-in-command of the U of I System since 2016, was unanimously approved as president of the University of Iowa today by the Board of Regents.
Wilson, currently executive vice president and vice president for academic affairs for the three-university U of I System, will take office July 15 as Iowa’s 22nd president. She will replace Bruce Harreld, who is stepping down in May after five years as president.
