ISLAMABAD: It is evident from the case s complete record that Justice Qazi Faez Isa and his wife Sarina Isa, through a legal discourse, responded to more than a dozen questions pertaining to their UK properties, foreign transactions, source of income and family’s tax matters.
The exoneration of Sarina Isa and her husband has apparently strengthened the notion after both attempted to respond to all the questions with supporting documents defying the evidence the government legal team presented before the court of law.
The debate generated many questions in and outside the court after the verdict attracted the attention of many to glance through the whole case record, files and voluminous material brought on the record to understand the genesis of this case, answers to questions posed by the government and tax authorities to Sarina Isa and her family.

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Thursday asked the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) to take action against those private TV channels, which violated the code of conduct, aired unofficial and unconfirmed results of NA-249 by-election before 6:00pm.
According to the Election Commission spokesman, the electoral body had given instructions to the media regulatory body to initiate action against these channels.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists has condemned the advice of the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra), threatening media outlets of legal action against what the authority called fake, unauthentic and speculative news, says a press release.

Information as a public good is the subject of World Press Freedom Day, held in Windhoek, Namibia, 30 years after the Windhoek Declaration (3 May 1991). It remains a seminal event for the development of a free, independent and pluralistic press. World Press Freedom Day has its origins in the UNESCO conference in Windhoek. The global conference is connecting with the regional World Press Freedom Day celebrations, building upon the historic series of regional seminars triggered by the 1991 Seminar in Windhoek, which inspired regional declarations to promote a free, independent, and pluralistic press, in meetings held in Alma-Ata (1992), Santiago (1994), Sana’a (1996), and Sofia (1997).
