Renovated OPD complex inaugurated at PIMS July 3, 2021 Islamabad : Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) has resumed outpatient department’s function after the closure of services in February 2020 on account of the dedication of hospital services to dealing with the COVID pandemic. The renovated, state-of-the-art OPD complex building was inaugurated by Seemin Bukhari, MNA, and Khawaja Saad Saleem, Chairman, Board of Governors, Federal Medical Teaching Institute. Present on the occasion were Dean, Federal Medical Teaching Institute Professor Rizwan Taj, Dr. Samee J khan, member BOG, Dr. Minhaj ul Siraj, Hospital Director PIMS, and the Director Bahria Town Foundation. Medical officer appointed at ITP office - Newspaper

ISLAMABAD: A medical officer has been permanently appointed at the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) office to monitor the physical fitness of staff and visitors. According ato details, newly-appointed SSP (Traffic) Syed Karar Hussain has made the effort to ensure that all facilities are provided to applicants of driving licences. The medical officer (BS-17) from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences has been appointed to monitor people’s health and physical fitness. A thorough medical examination including eye testing of visitors will be conducted along with determining what their blood group is as this information is important to note before a licence is issued. The medical officer will check whether the applicant suffers from any disability.
