The U.S. Government provided over $341 million in U.S. assistance to Zimbabweans in calendar year 2020. The funds included over $200 million for health, with $163 million for PEPFAR’s HIV/AIDS programs alone, $80 million in emergency assistance, $26 million for resilience programs, and $12 million to promote agriculture economic growth. We have provided over $3.5 billion in assistance to Zimbabwe since 1980.
Health
The U.S. Government remains the largest overall bilateral donor to Zimbabwe and provides the most support to the country’s health sector. Assistance concentrates on the prevention and treatment of three of the most significant health threats in Zimbabwe HIV, tuberculosis, and malaria to help Zimbabweans live longer and healthier lives. Inua Jamii Cash: 1.1 Million Kenyans To Receive Sh8K Each
The government has disbursed Ksh8,728,056,000 to be distributed to 1.1 million beneficiaries enrolled in the cash transfer programmes.
The Inua Jamii cash, channelled through the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, seeks to uplift vulnerable Kenyan citizens through regular and reliable monthly cash transfers.
The cash aid will be paid out to 1,090,587 Kenyans starting Monday, February 22, 2020.
The payments are for the September-October and November-December payment cycles.
A total of 762,947 beneficiaries enlisted under the Older Persons Cash Transfer Programme will receive Ksh.6.1 billion.
To be eligible for Older Persons Cash Transfer (OPCT), an individual should be 70 years and above, not receiving a pension, not enrolled in any other cash transfer program, and residing in a particular location for more than a year.

Why should people in WR3 and WR9 areas not request postal testing kits? Any COVID-19 test will test you for COVID-19. Within the WR3 and parts of the WR9 postcode areas, we are testing for the South African variant. This means that along with looking for positive Covid-19 results, we also want the tests to be sequenced for the new variant. To do this, we need all swabs which test positive, to go to reference laboratories to test for the variant. This is a complex test and takes 7-10 days to do. You do not need to order a postal test online, as these will not be marked for testing for the variant. We will be supplying home test kits for you to use, which will be marked for variant testing.
