WASHINGTON, D.C. Both of Oregon s U.S. Senators have joined in a push to reintroduce the Green New Deal resolution, a 14-page document that pledges to address climate change by investing in renewable energy and infrastructure.
Supporters of the legislation say that it lays out a proposed 10-year national mobilization similar to President Franklin D. Roosevelt s New Deal, that would push toward good-paying, union jobs repairing the nation s infrastructure while reducing pollution and carbon emissions.
