PM Modi holds meeting with field officials from states, districts on COVID-19 management
NEW DELHI : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday held a meeting with field officials from states and districts about their experience in handling the COVID-19 pandemic.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa also attended the virtual meeting where Union Home Minister Amit Shah was present.
Office of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister in a statement said, “Shivraj Singh Chouhan is taking part in a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on COVID19.”.
Office of Chief Commissioner, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) confirmed Yediyurappa’s presence in the meeting.

Coronavirus is wreaking havoc in the country. In this backdrop, the decision taken by the Madhya Pradesh government to give Rs 5,000 pension every month to children who got orphaned due to COVID is a message for the country. For this humanitarian step, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and his government can not be appreciated enough, the editorial said.

MPBSE Class 10 board exams cancelled, results based on internal assessment.
The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) cancelled the class 10 board exams and postponed the class 12 exams due to worsening Covid-19 situations in the state.Â
The dates of class 12 exams will be announced later depending on the improving COVID-19 situations in the state.
The class 10 students will be awarded marks on the basis of their internal assignments.Â
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said to news agency ANI, Board exams for class 10 won t take place, mark sheets will be issued based on evaluation. Anyone who wants higher marks can sit for the exam later in the time to come. Board exams for students of class 12 have been postponed. Exams will be held when the situation improves.
