Hyderabad, May 7 : Satyendra Mishra, a frontline doctor of Bundelkhand Medical College and Hospital in Madhya Pradesh, has been discharged from Yashoda Hospital at Secunderabad after treatment for Covid-19.
The young Covid warrior, who was airlifted to Hyderabad on April 19, was discharged on Thursday.
According to Srinivas Rajagopala, the Medical Director of Lung Transplantation at Yashoda Hospital, Mishra had extensive damage to his lungs due to Covid-19 and remained dependent on the ventilator with high oxygen requirements and at the critical phase of his illness.

Union Social Justice and Empowerment minister Thawar Chand Gehlot’s daughter Yogita Solanki succumbed to COVID-19 at the Medanta hospital in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on Monday. Solanki, 44, was first admitted to Sanjeevani hospital in Ujjain, where she underwent treatment for over 10 days after a CT scan revealed 90% damage to her lungs.
As per reports, Yogita Solanki had developed a slight fever and cough around a fortnight ago. She tested negative for COVID-19 twice, but a CT scan subsequently showed lung damage.

INDORE: Union minister Thawarchand Gehlot s daughter Yogita Solanki died in a private hospital here on Monday while undergoing treatment for Covid-19, a top official of the medical facility said.
Solanki (42) was undergoing treatment at the Medanta Hospital in Indore for the last one week and the viral infection had spread to 80 per cent of her lungs, the medical director of the hospital, Sandeep Srivastava, said. Tocilizumab injections (a COVID-19 medicine) and other life-saving drugs were given to Solanki, but her life could not be saved despite all our efforts, he said.
Initially, Gehlots daughter was taken to a hospital in Ujjain, but was shifted to Indore after her condition deteriorated, a BJP leader said.
