The Brant County Health Unit on Wednesday reported 27 new cases of COVID-19 in the previous 24 hours.
That brings to 38 the number of cases this week, after Brantford and Brant County set a record of 167 cases for the week ended Jan. 10.

The health unit said two COVID patients are in Brantford General Hospital
The health unit declared as over an outbreak at Tim Hortons on Henry Street, which was limited to two workers.
That leaves five outbreaks remaining. They are at a Wee Watch private home day care, John Noble Home, Brierwood Gardens long-term care, Fox Ridge long-term care and St. Joe’s YMCA. Those outbreaks involve 14 people.

The Brant County Health Unit on Friday reported 22 new cases of COVID-19 in the previous 24 hours, with one more person hospitalized because of the virus.
The new positive tests brings to 177 the number of active cases in Brantford-Brant.

There are now eight local people receiving treatment in Brantford General Hospital, up from seven on Thursday and five on Wednesday.
For the week ended Jan. 3, there were a record 158 cases of the virus reported, topping the previous record of 95 and double the 79 cases reported the previous week.

The Brant County Health Unit on Thursday reported 36 new COVID-19 cases, with two more people hospitalized.
The new positive tests brings to 181 the number of active cases in Brantford-Brant.

The Brant County Health Unit on Wednesday reported 15 new cases of COVID-19 in the previous 24 hours.
There are 109 active cases in Brantford and Brant County, with four people being treated at Brantford General Hospital, up from two reported Tuesday.

Eleven more cases have been resolved, bringing the total to 658.
Since the onset of the pandemic, there have been 772 confirmed cases locally. That number has been reduced by one, as a previously reported case involved someone from another health unit’s jurisdiction where they are now self-isolating.
