“This investment will provide choice and flexibility for families and new opportunities for children,” Barrett said.
The $1.7 million investment will result in 49 new licensed child care spaces and three new child care rooms at the Catholic high school on Evergreen Hill Road in Simcoe.
The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board will now be able to review tenders for the project.
Education Minister Stephen Lecce said the government’s capital investment program demonstrates “our historic investment in Ontario’s schools and child cares, as well as our overall commitment to supporting our students and families.”
