VICTORIA, B.C. – The Northern Health Region added 100 new cases over the weekend, including 43 from Sunday to Monday.
There are 15 people in hospital, 10 of whom are in critical care.

From the beginning of the pandemic to today, there have been 6,838 confirmed cases in the Northern Health Region. Of those, 6,403 have recovered.

Across the province, 2,960 new cases were added over the weekend. From Friday to Saturday there were 1,027 cases, 933 from Saturday to Sunday, and 1,000 from Sunday to Monday.

VICTORIA, B.C. – The British Columbia Centre for Disease Control released the weekly distribution of COVID-19 by local health area for the period of April 4th to 10th.
Peace River North recorded 48 cases while Peace River South added 118 new cases.
Looking at the last four weeks, Peace River South has seen consistently high cases. The increase has prompted Dawson Creek Mayor Dale Bumstead to consider asking Northern Health for an accelerated vaccine rollout in the community. ),whenLoaded(initFlexitive);

VICTORIA, B.C. – The Northern Health Region added 28 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the active case total down to 300.
Out of 28 people in hospital, 12 are in critical care beds.
The region recorded two deaths Tuesday, bringing the total to 132. ),whenLoaded(initFlexitive);
There have been 6,595 confirmed cases in the Northern Health Region since last March. Of those, 6,155 have recovered.

British Columbia recorded 873 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the active case count down to 9,756.
There are 377 people in hospital, 116 of whom are in critical care.
There were two COVID-19 related deaths recorded Tuesday, bringing the total to 1,515.
