A North Attleborough man is dead after he was shot inside an apartment building Wednesday afternoon, according to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office. Police responded to 64 High St. shortly after 4 p.m. for a reported shooting. First responders found the 38-year-old victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound inside his apartment. North Attleboro Homicide Under Investigation

The Bristol County District Attorney s Office has identified the victim as Peter C. Schifone, 38, of North Attleboro.
Authorities are investigating a Wednesday afternoon homicide in North Attleboro.
North Attleboro police were called to 64 High Street at around 4 p.m. on May 26 for a report of a shooting. According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, first responders arrived and found the male victim inside his apartment suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The 38-year-old North Attleboro man was rushed to Sturdy Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The man’s identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
