Rejecting RJD leader s claim about 17 JD(U) MLAs being in touch with him, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said his party (JD(U)) is not going to face any kind of fissures and that these claims were baseless.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday denied the claim by Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Shyam Rajak that as many as 17 JD(U) MLAs were in touch with the RJD.
“There is no such thing. All these claims are baseless”, said Nitish Kumar, when asked by a section of media about the Opposition party’s claim. Earlier, Mr. Rajak had stirred a political controversy by claiming that the legislators were in touch with the RJD. “But, we’re waiting for some more to come as JD(U) has a total of 43 members in the State assembly,” he said. “Many JD(U) MLAs are upset with the way BJP has been dominating the ruling alliance in the State and taking decisions,” added the RJD leader, who was a Minister in the Nitish Kumar-led NDA government.
Nitish thanks Bhutan King for congratulatory message

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday thanked Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Prime Minister of the neighbouring country Lotay Tshering for their greetings after Kumar was elected as the chief minister of the state for the fourth term. The Bhutan King had congratulated Kumar for his victory in the Assembly polls and wished him (Kumar) a healthy, happy and successful life, an official release said.

Patna (Bihar) [India], December 29 (ANI): Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Uday Narayan Choudhary on Wednesday appealed to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to leave the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), and join Mahagathbandhan and make Tejashwi Yadav the CM.
The statement comes days after six of seven legislators of the Janata Dal (United) in Arunachal Pradesh defected to its NDA partner, BJP.
