Tom Gale Cape Fear Realtors has named Tom Gale as the 2021 president of the association, according to a news release.
Gale is a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage and a member of the Team Gale real estate team.
During his term as 2021 CFR president, Gale has announced the association will be sponsoring and building a home with community partner Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity, stated the release.
“Realtors work hard to help make homeownership a reality for their clients every day,” Gale said in the release. “We are excited to roll up our sleeves and work together to build our first Association sponsored home with Habitat for Humanity.”
At 3:30 p.m. Thursday a 20-year-old woman was hit with a vehicle at 1503 Moore Plaza.
According to a news release from the Wilmington Police Department, Shadasia Ellison allegedly ran the woman over in the midst of an argument. Police found Ellison a few miles away from the scene and took her into custody.
The release noted police are still determining what charges to file against her.
The 20-year-old is in critical but stable position at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Her name has not been released.
This is not the first time Ellison has been accused of using her vehicle as a weapon. On Jan. 9, 2018, Ellison purposely hit 19-year-old Tameka Cooper with her vehicle in the 1400 block of Willard St., according to the police department s release.
More than 4,200 frontline healthcare workers and providers at New Hanover Regional Medical Center have already received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination, which were initially offered to frontline healthcare workers at the highest risk of exposure to the virus.
North Carolina has now opened eligibility to phase 1b, group 1 of the state s vaccination plan. Last week, NHRMC Physician Group Primary Care started vaccinating patients age 75 and older. NHRMC Physician Group will announce when additional groups are eligible to make appointments to receive a vaccine.

She was previously an account executive at Sage Island. She also has 15 years of experience working in New York City and Los Angeles in a global capacity. She has structured partnership deals for many top global brands including BMW, Rolls-Royce, American Express, Jimmy Choo, Bloomingdale s, Movado, Sotheby’s International Realty, and more, officials said in the release. While at Sage, Glass oversaw various large accounts including CloudWyze, CTS, Wells Insurance, and more, plus performed sales activities.
Glass is a native of the Carolinas. She also serves on the board of the Hannah Block/USO Building Arts and Culture Committee.
