Coachella Valley churches to offer outdoor Christmas services Brian Blueskye, Palm Springs Desert Sun

Local churches won t be holding indoor holiday services this year amid stay-at-home orders to curb the spread of COVID-19. But many are offering virtual services, and some are hosting outdoor services on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Rev. Monsignor Howard Lincoln of Sacred Heart Catholic Church said the local weather is an advantage. The temperature we ll experience this Christmas is similar to the temperature the holy family experienced in the stable where the son of God was born, Lincoln said.

CARTHAGE, Texas (KTRE) - Members of the National Honor Society at Carthage High School started a Hurricane Relief Drive last month as they asked the community for donations to help hurricane victims in the Cameron, Lake Charles and Moss Bluff areas Southwest Louisiana.
Some of those students were able to drop off those donations personally a few days ago.
