BILLINGS â The Girl Scout Cookie Program has long taught girls how to run a business via door-to-door activity, in-person booths, and the Digital Cookie® platform online. Having their Cookie Season impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, many girls had to adjust their business plans.
Billings Girl Scouts spent this week crafting up unique door hangers to let their neighbors know the Cookie Drive is underway, beginning Feb. 5. These doorhangers include all the information you ll need to contact your local scout and place your order.

Out of all the things 2020 took from us, Girl Scout cookies won’t be one.
Uniform-wearing girls have been setting up shop around Gaston and Cleveland counties for the annual fundraiser – teaching budgeting and salesmanship while offering customers the sweet treats that only pop up each winter.
“Even as we continue to face these challenging times, our girls are committed to bringing the public their favorite cookies,” said Lane Cook, CEO of Girl Scouts Peaks to Piedmont Council.
Traditionally, scouts approached friends, family and neighbors to take orders. Once the mounds of boxes arrived, they would also set up booths in front of big box stores in shifts to sell additional cookies.

The Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians are offering online ordering and delivery in an effort to keep everyone safe during the ongoing pandemic.
âIn years past, it was easy to find Girl Scout cookies as our confident young girls set up and ran their cookie booths all over town,â said Lynne Fugate, chief executive officer of the Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians. âWhile the pandemic has changed that tradition, it remains important that anyone who wants to support the development of these young girls and order cookies can still easily â and safely â do so.â
