PENNSYLVANIA Pennsylvania will lift all COVID-19 mitigation orders except for the mask mandate on Memorial Day, officials announced on Tuesday. That includes restrictions on businesses like bars and restaurants, capacity sizes for events, and more.
Further, the state announced, the mask mandate will be gone once 70 percent of Pennsylvania s adult population is fully vaccinated. With millions of Pennsylvanians getting vaccinated, it s time to plan the transition back to normal, said State Sen. Art Haywood, a member of the bipartisan task force that advises vaccine policy. Hospitalizations and deaths are down. This action today is a key step forward.
