Landmark Liquors of Perham set a new record for their largest single-day sales on Friday, July 2. On this day, bringing in a total of $60,545. Combined with the next day, Saturday, July 3, they also set a record for the largest two-day sales, at $115,110.
Throughout Fourth of July week, Landmark Liquors also set a record for the largest sales week in its history, making $217,917. June sales were down 4.5% from 2020, but they were up 28.5% in comparison to 2019. Due to the success of the store, they are looking to add new people to their staff.

Restorations on the Perham Cemetery have been scheduled for this summer.
Executive Director of Otter Tail County Historical Society Chris Schuelke asked the Perham City Council at its monthly meeting on Monday, April 12, to help finance the preservations. The Northern Bedrock Historic Preservation Corps, which is based in Duluth, will be staying at the Pioneer Village from July 27 through Aug. 4 to work on the restorations. If they have time, they ll also work on restoring the Pioneer Village.
In order to complete the project, Northern Bedrock Historic Preservation Corps would need $12,000. While they asked the council to help fund some money, they also stated they could raise any leftover needed funds on their own. The city agreed to fund them the complete $12,000.

The Perham City Council established a new tax increment financing housing district on Wednesday, March 31. The district has 13 parcels in five areas.
Within district 2-43, the Westwind 4 homes and Grow Perham apartments will be expanding. Westwind 4 will include approximately 30 single-family homes. The properties are undeveloped, which allows the city to form a new TIF district. The plan is to develop six properties a year through May 2026.
