(MURFREESBORO) With new safety protocols, Linebaugh Public Library will be reopening to the public beginning Monday, February 8, 2021, with modified hours of operation:
Linebaugh Library (downtown)
Fridays - Saturdays 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Sundays – 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
All visitors will be limited to one 2-hour visit per day and masks will be required.
Visitors to the library will be asked to sign in with their time of arrival and given a paper wristband with the time indicated to wear during their visit. Children with their parents/guardians will not be required to wear a band.

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - The city’s four warming centers opened Sunday morning and will remain open until the weather improves, said Akron Mayor Dan Horrigan.
The warming centers are the Lawton Street Community Center, Patterson Park Community Center, Mason Park Community Center and Summit Lake Community Center.
All four centers are open from 8:30 a.m.-10 p.m.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – With more than 800 on a waiting list for affordable housing in Murfreesboro and 900 on a second waiting list for Section 8 housing, adding more affordable homes to existing acreage already owned by the Murfreesboro Housing Authority (MHA) is a priority for CEO Thomas Rowe.
“Right now, we have so many people on both waiting lists that we have stopped taking applications at all,” Rowe said.
On February 10 and 11, a number of master plan options for redevelopment at Parkside and Mercury Court, two affordable housing neighborhoods in Murfreesboro near Patterson Park Community Center, will be presented to residents and the community. The first round of public engagement was January 27 and 28; the second round is next week, February 10 and 11, and a final master plan will presented back to

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, all City of Murfreesboro offices, and most recreational facilities, will be closed on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021. Rover, the City’s public transportation service, will not run on the federal holiday.
There will be no garbage pick-up on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021. Monday’s garbage pick-up will be Tuesday, Jan. 19. Tuesday’s garbage pick-up will be Wednesday, January 20.
