Man who died in accident near Surbiton station named

Aldershot man Tyler Byrne, 30, was named as the person who sadly died near Surbiton station on Tuesday (February 9). Image via BTP Police have named the man who sadly died after an accident on the railway near Surbiton station on Tuesday (February 9). British Transport Police (BTP) who responded to the incident alongside London Ambulance Service (LAS) and London Fire Brigade, said that the person who was struck and killed in the incident was Tyler Byrne, 30, from Aldershot. As the Surrey Comet reported previously, emergency services raced to the scene of the accident near Surbiton station on Tuesday after they were called around 11.39am.

âLessons must be learnedâ after Hampshire railway worker killed by train Ministers and union bosses say “lessons must be learned” after a Hampshire man was hit by a train and died while working on a railway track. Emergency services were called to Surbiton railway station, in south-west London, at about midday yesterday following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Police confirmed that a 30-year-old man from Hampshire was pronounced dead at the scene. No further details have been disclosed about the victim. The incident happened between Surbiton and Weybridge and it is understood that the man was working on the tracks at the time.
