Gensler, the world’s largest architectural firm, is adding to Burnaby’s burgeoning cityscape with its first residential tower in Canada, Bosa Properties’ Central Park House, a 41-storey building to be built on Wilson Avenue.

All of these businesses complement and support each other, as they further establish the entertainment district as a destination through their synergies. Attendees of a concert at a theatre, for example, are likely to support neighbouring restaurants and bars before and after the event.
To ensure there are minimal conflicts with these businesses and the public events and activations that spill out into the street, it is a best practice to have non-competing uses in and around the entertainment district.

British architecture firm Heatherwick Studio is known for its playful and futuristic works. Some of its most famous designs include the Vessel at Hudson Yards and the garden pergolas for Tokyo’s Toranomon-Azabudai district. One of the firm’s latest projects is no exception to its forward-thinking reputation. The studio has released a plan for residential towers for Vancouver, Canada, that features a mixed-use podium and two curving towers which will bring 400 new housing units to the city.
