Victor Samways’ red Ford Fiesta was in a collision with Fahd Baakza’s silver Nissan Micra on the A35 at Eype near Bridport at around 7.50pm on January 23, 2019. Baakza was turning off the A35 into the rest area when his car collided with Mr Samways oncoming vehicle.

Philip Michael James Lewis, aged 44, was caught in a police operation into sexual crime in Dorset after he used the Kik messaging service to sexually communicate with who he thought was a teenager called Holly. Prosecuting, Siobhan Oxley, explained to Weymouth Magistrates’ Court how police officers had set up a decoy and began communicating with Lewis between September 13 and October 29, 2020.

Victor Samways’ Ford Fiesta was in a collision with Fahd Baakza’s Nissan Micra on the A35 at Eype near Bridport on January 23, 2019. The 74-year-old’s car was then struck by another vehicle. A jury heard it was unclear which collision caused his death. Baazka, aged 34, and of Dorset Street, London, has been charged with causing death by careless driving. He denies the charge. Prosecutor Thomas Evans told a jury at Bournemouth Crown Court: “There was a road traffic collision on the A35 at the junction with Eype between the defendant in his Nissan Micra and Mr Samways’ Ford Fiesta.
