Vermonters Urged To Get Rid Of Unwanted Prescription Drugs

Acting U.S. Attorney for Vermont Jonathan Ophardt says unused medication, especially highly addictive prescription opioids, are vulnerable to diversion, misuse, and abuse. He says last year 158 Vermonters died of opioid overdose, a 38% increase from 2019. The Prescription Drug Take Back event is taking place Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at more than 55 locations around Vermont. Flagler Beach Super Spring Saturday

Apr 22, 2021 10:12 AM Flagler Beach, FL – The City of Flagler Beach is offering residents the chance to take advantage of City Services this weekend with Super Spring Saturday. The event takes place from 10 a.m until 2 p.m. at the Flagler Beach Police Department (FBPD). Saturday is also National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day and residents can bring their unused or expired prescription medications for safe disposal. This gives people a place to get rid of unwanted medications anonymously and at no cost. Needles and fluids will not be accepted. Something else you can take care of is golf cart inspections and registration payments. The inspections will take place in the FBPD parking lot. A member of the City Finance Department will be on hand to collect payment for golf cart registrations.  They are $40 and payments can be made with cash or check; no credit cards.
