Mumbai Locals: Western Railway plans to add to its existing special services from Friday

Western Railway (WR) and Central Railway (CR) have decided to start an additional 204 suburban services, taking the total to 2,985 from the existing 2,781, on the Mumbai suburban network with effect from 29 January.
WR on Tuesday decided to resume full services from Friday (29 January). However, only the passengers permitted by the government would be allowed to travel.
WR s Chief Public Relation Officer (CPRO) Sumit Thakur informed that WR has decided to start all of its suburban services by increasing the existing 1,201 special services to 1,367 (an addition of 166) from Friday.

Pune (Maharashtra) [India], January 26 (ANI): Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday launched a jail tourism initiative of the state government from Pune s Yerawada prison, in a move to help students learn about historical experiences.
The initiative was launched via an online event. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and other top officials were physically present at the Yerawada jail.
During the launch event, Uddhav Thackeray spoke about several freedom fighters who spent a jail term in the Yerwada jail in Pune.
He also remembered the day when he used to visit the jail with his mother when his father late Balasaheb Thackeray was imprisoned here.

Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar will take part in the protest to be staged in Mumbai today in support of farmers protesting against Centre’s three new farm laws at various borders in the national capital.
Thousands of farmers, who have been camping at Mumbai’s Azad Maidan, will march to Raj Bhavan to register their protest against the farm’s laws. The march is part of the agitation being undertaken under the banner of Samyukt Shetkari Kamgar Morcha (SSKM) and aims to intensify the farmers’ struggle in the main capital cities across all states.
