Thackeray said that by shifting the carshed from Aarey, the state government saved a forest as well as environment. The car shed at Aarey was meant for only Metro Line 3 (Colaba- BandraSEEPZ). However, the Kanjur site will have carshed for three lines Metro Line 3 (Colaba- BandraSEEPZ), Metro Line 4 (WadalaGhatkopar-MulundTeen Hath Naka Kasarvadavali) and Metro Line 6 (Lokhandwala-Jogeshwari-Kanjur Marg). MUMBAI: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday said wearing masks will be mandatory for the next six months in the state.
Addressing people of the state on social media, Thackeray said experts are in favour of imposing night curfew or another lockdown, but he is not in favour of these steps.
The CM appealed to people to be careful during the New Year celebrations.

Condolence meetings will be held under a joint front of farmer unions at more than one lakh villages on Sunday to pay homage to them, the AIKS said.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi sletter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray where she mentioned the Common Minimum Program (CMP) may have been prompted by complaints about budget cuts by her party s ministers, the NCP said on Saturday.
The NCP is part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in the state alongwith Thackeray s Shiv Sena and the Congress. Some Congress leaders may have complained to Sonia Gandhi, said Nawab Malik, a state minister and NCP spokesperson, speaking to a news channel.
The MVA alliance is committed to the Common Minimum Program but there have been cuts in budgetary allocations for some development works due to the coronavirus pandemic, he said.
