GOOD TO BE BACK: Nearly 200 scouts gather for 2021 Scout-O-Rama The nearly 200 youths who laughed, played and camped together at the Monroe County Fairgrounds this past weekend were a sight for sore eyes for everyone involved in making the Boy Scouts of America’s 2021 Scout-O-Rama a reality.  The event was smaller than normal as Cub Scouts did not attend this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which also kept the general public away and required all participants to wear masks. There were a plethora other new safety precautions in place as well, all designed to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Parents had to sign additional waivers prior to the weekend-long campout, social distancing was practiced throughout the fairgrounds and the traditional group meals did not occur.
