A Brooklyn Center man was charged with murder after he allegedly followed a woman into a downtown Minneapolis parking garage and shot her in the back of the head over the weekend.
Otis T. Givens, 45, was charged in Hennepin County District Court with second-degree murder in the death of Ariana M. Bradley, who had no permanent address.
Givens was arrested Monday and remains jailed in lieu of $500,000 bail. His attorney declined to comment.

Cara Bayles Law360 (May 12, 2021, 2:10 PM EDT) A Minnesota state court judge found Wednesday that the murder of George Floyd met several of the factors necessary to sentence former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin to a longer-than-average prison term.
A jury
convicted Chauvin last month of second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter, which carry sentences of up to 40 years, up to 25 years and up to 10 years, respectively.
Chauvin would only face a sentence for the most serious charge, since all of his convictions stemmed from the same act. And because he has no prior criminal record, state guidelines would recommend a prison term of about 12 1/2 years.
Arrested was 20-year-old Terrance Panting. One report said Panting was attempting to take a shotgun from a teenager who was attempting to kill himself, but that but he was charged because he had his finger on the trigger. (Seems odd). [

Washington [US], May 8 (ANI): A US federal grand jury on Friday indicted all four former Minneapolis police officers involved in the killing of George Floyd last year, including Derek Chauvin who was convicted of murder and manslaughter charges in April.
According to The Hill, the multicount indictment from the US District Court for the District of Minnesota, accuses Chauvin along with Thomas Lane, J Kueng and Tou Thao of violating Floyd s constitutional rights.
All of the men were charged with failing to administer first aid to Floyd as Chauvin kneeled on his neck for more than nine minutes.
The request comes just two weeks after the former Minneapolis police officer was convicted of the murder of Black man George Floyd. Chauvin claims he did not receive a fair trial.
