MARQUETTE Marquette County Health Department Emergency Preparedness on Monday announced the creation of a survey for businesses and agencies that want to be put on a COVID-19 vaccination list.
At this time, the MCHD is gathering information only on the following priority groups:
≤ Health care direct patient contact involving high-risk procedures;
≤ Health care direct patient contact, including outpatient, urgent care, ambulatory care and home health care;
≤ Health care indirect patient care, with specialized skills critical to the functioning of the health care system;
≤ K-12 school and child care staff with direct contact with children;
≤ Critical infrastructure, such as chemical, communications, dams, emergency services, financial services, government facilities, information technology, transportation systems, energy, food and agriculture, health care and public health, nuclear reactors, materials and waste, and water and wastewate

NORTHAMPTON Providing Moderna’s vaccine to residents and front-line workers at the VA Central Western Massachusetts Healthcare System in Leeds this week initiated the start of the next phase of protecting the most vulnerable populations from COVID-19 infection.
“Receiving the vaccine is like having hope delivered,” Duane Gill, director of the VA, said in a statement issued after inoculations began Monday. “As vaccine supplies increase, our ultimate goal is to offer COVID-19 vaccination to all veterans and employees who want to be vaccinated.”
