KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 Shares on Bursa Malaysia were higher at opening on Wednesday with finance and healthcare stocks becoming the contributor, thanks to the recent stimulus package by the government that helped boost investors’ sentiment.
At 9.03am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) added 2.53 points, or 0.16 per cent, to 1,588.43 from 1,585.90 at Tuesday’s close.
The index opened 0.43 points lower at 1,585.47.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 ― Bursa Malaysia snapped a three-day winning streak by opening lower today, as profit-taking kicked in amid mixed sentiment.
At 9.05am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) lost 12.92 points, or 0.81 per cent, to 1,580.98 from 1,593.90 at yesterday’s close.
The index opened 8.73 points lower at 1,585.17.
Market breadth was slightly positive with gainers leading losers 227 to 211, while 227 counters were unchanged, 1,523 untraded and 73 others suspended.

KUALA LUMPUR, May 25 Bursa Malaysia opened easier but rebounded thereafter, in line with the uptrend seen in regional markets as investor sentiment was buoyed by the overnight Wall Street gains.
At 9.06am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) was 2.03 points, or 0.13 per cent, firmer at 1,573.85 from 1,571.82 at Monday’s close.
The index opened 2.82 points lower at 1,569.0.
