WhoaZone inflatable obstacle course coming to Atwood and Pleasant Hill Lakes | News, Sports, Jobs

Mar 11, 2021 NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District officials announced a partnership with Empire Recreation Management LLC to build WhoaZone inflatable obstacle course at Atwood and Pleasant Hill Lake beaches this year. The partnership was approved by the MWCD Board of Directors at its recent meeting. WhoaZone is an attraction for those seeking over-the-top adventures, acrobatic thrills, and safe, yet fun, athletic challenges. MWCD continues to seek feedback from guests about what they want to see at the MWCD lakes. Activities in and around the lakes made the top of the list in every conversation. The organization looks forward to this partnership to fulfill the public’s demand for water-based activities for both campers and community members alike.

Alsept appointed to seat on MWCD committee

The Times-Reporter Members of the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (MWCD) Board of Directors approved the appointment of Bob Alsept during a recent meeting to the volunteer Development Advisory Committee (DAC). The 20-member DAC serves in an advisory capacity to the MWCD Board of Directors and staff. Alsept, a resident of New Philadelphia in Tuscarawas County completing his seventh year as the Superintendent of Buckeye Career Center (BCC). Prior to BCC, Alsept server as Superintendent of New Philadelphia City Schools for five years. He served various positions at New Philadelphia City Schools for a total of 19 years. Alsept previously worked at the University of Akron, North Greenville University (SC), and West Liberty University (WV) as an Assistant Basketball Coach and Sports Information Director.
