AT&T outage interrupts 911 service in Montgomery County

An AT&T outage on Christmas Day led to an outage of Montgomery County s 911 system and non-emergency number, the Montgomery County Sheriff s Office announced Friday afternoon. If emergency assistance is needed in Clarksville-Montgomery County, call 931-648-5702. The temporary emergency number will remain active after the 911 system returns to operation.  Dispatchers may ask questions that normally populate on calls  your phone number, address and other identifying information. The outage has impacted communities as far as Kentucky, including Fort Campbell. The main number to use on Fort Campbell for emergencies is 270-798-7111. Other numbers are 270-798-7112, 270-798-7113 and 270-798-7114.
